Little House On The On The Prairie

Little House On The On The Prairie
May 31, 2022

Those that are curious enough to ask are always surprised to know that 1) I have no idea where we are going to end up at the end of the day and 2) Wherever that is, there will almost certainly be nothing there but mud, rocks, and beavers.

Every now and then, providence smiles upon our travail and lands us by happenstance at places like this. Given to naming our campsites after long forgotten movies ( the worse the better) or TV series, Jan named this one Little House on the Prairie.

It was a dream come true finding this spot. There were chairs even. And a table. Oh, the things you can do on a table!

I left a card and a thank you note in the locked door jam. I hope to hear from whoever owns the place. I’ld work a week to pay off the debt of gratitude I owe these folks.

Like life, I suppose, the next bend in the river might reveal all you could ask for and more.
